Conversation Series: Lessons Learned on Microfinance and Social Business from Around the World

Dr. Muhammad Yunus, is a world-renowned economist for his work on poverty alleviation initiatives using microcredit as the cornerstone of these initiatives. In 2006, Professor Yunus and Grameen Bank were jointly awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.

The conversation with Dr. Muhammad Yunus is followed by a talk delivered by Mr. Darrin Williams, CEO of Southern Bancorp. Southern Bancorp was inspired by the Grameen Bank model in its founding.

This event is part of the Arkansas Global Changemakers and Social Innovation Initiatives, in partnership with the University of Arkansas Graduate Net Impact Chapter.
