The P4 Consultancy Project

The People, Planet, and Profit Consultancy Project (P4) is an Arkansas Global Changemakers Initiative led by the Graduate Net Impact chapter as a signature initiative of the group. The concept is a student-run consulting group concentrated on organizations who seek to be socially and environmentally responsible, primarily non-profits, new ventures, and small businesses. In contributing to this project, students will identify and support enterprises that can be scaled for community impact, strengthening our efforts to build a more equitable, fair, and sustainable community in Northwest Arkansas.

The initiative presents the opportunity to connect graduate students with real-world business needs posed by organizations with strong social and/or environmental missions. Students will consult with these community partners to assess, develop, and propose solutions to operational, strategic, or administrative challenges identified by these entities.  The ambition is to support local organizations as they strive to fulfill their respective missions in more efficient, cost-effective and sustainable ways. Areas of consultation include all fields of business and STEAM that are core to the social and environmental footprint of the client.

Long-term, the students intend to develop the capacity to advise for-profit organizations who have embedded socially and environmentally sustainable practices into their business models and wish to obtain B-Corps Certification (certification for businesses meeting the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability to balance profit and purpose).

Global Changemakers Book Club

The Global Changemakers Book Club is an interactive and multidisciplinary event to discuss leading titles on topics related to economic and human development, sustainability, social innovation and entrepreneurship, international development, impact investment and other relevant economic, cultural, or political topics. The idea is to have an open discussion featuring the authors of these books, whenever possible, as well as renowned experts and leaders in the field, always fostering a dialogue with our students, faculty and the rest of the University of Arkansas community, including of course our community partners.

Fulbright Scholars Social Impact Series

The Fulbright Scholars Social Impact Series is an effort to bring the knowledge and experience of distinguished Fulbright Scholars and other international students, currently pursuing a degree at the University of Arkansas, with our efforts to tackle some of the most pressing social and environmental challenges affecting our communities.

By inviting international students to connect local challenges with the way in which these challenges manifest in their country of origin, we learn from the differences and similarities in the ways they conceive of these problems and the strategies they use to overcome them. We do this with the intention to foster dialogue, collaboration and mutual understanding, fostering the opportunity to learn from the solutions, innovations and social business strategies developed around the world. We believe this could be a great opportunity to inspire scholars to become the leaders of this transformation we want to see in the world, by building and establishing a solid network of Global Changemakers across all continents and areas of expertise.
